David Yahn

1947-2013    (Cancer)

David R. Yahn, 65, faithful husband of Kristi Butcher Yahn, died Mon. Jan. 28, 2013 at his residence. Born Aug. 7, 1947 in Wellsboro, PA, he was the son of the late Richard Frederick Yahn and Margaret Anna Scharfenberger Yahn.  Mr. Yahn was a specialty rep for Novartis Pharmaceuticals, and a member of Southland Christian Church where he was a devoted volunteer for many years.  In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Brian David Yahn, Frankfort, KY; three daughters, Tracy Lynn (Justin) Whipple, Lexington, Jamie Jo (Casey) Lippert, Cincinnati, OH, and Marilyn Elizabeth Yahn, Lexington, KY; six grandchildren, Holden, Hadley and Hayden Whipple, Micah Johnson, and Logan and Hunter Lippert; one sister, Suzann (Paul) Eken, Cincinnati, OH; several beloved nieces, nephews; former wife, Barbara Yahn; and his beloved dog, Teddy. He was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Yahn.  Funeral services were at Southland Christian Church, Bldg. A., 5001 Harrodsburg Rd., Nicholasville, KY 40356.
