GOBRECHT, PENELOPE "PENNY" ANN LITTLE - age 67, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away Friday, December 5, 2014. Penny was a lifelong humanitarian and animal lover. She was an avid reader and loved to create needlepoint art. With a hysterical and insuperable sense of humor, even in the most difficult of circumstances, this beautiful and graceful woman helped innumerous people during her time on earth. As a social worker of many years, her warm heart, gentle manner and angelic smile guided the less fortunate to better lives and served as beacons of hope for those who needed it most. A mother of two sons, she not only bestowed her gifts of compassion and humility, but she was a best friend to both of her "boys" and a pillar for them to lean on throughout her life. Penny will be forever loved and severely missed by all of those blessed enough to have known her. Born December 17, 1946, the beloved daughter of James "Pete" & Dorothy "DeeDee" Little and devoted mother of Robert Steven Gobrecht, Jr. who precede her in death. Penny leaves behind son, James Adam Gobrecht; brother, Rick Little; sister and brother-in-law, Patty and Dickie Little-Scott and niece and husband, Alexandria and James Banks.
